Local Government refers collectively to administrative authorities over areas that are smaller than a state. The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people. The purpose of the local government committee is to help promote the fulfillment of our civic responsibility and participation in the process of self-governance. We seek to promote the principles and values of the American founding by sharing our thoughts, ideas, and responsible solutions that have received proper study. With great respect for our republican form of government and the democratic processes utilized, we will hold our representatives accountable in a respectful manner that honors all those who fought for our freedom to do so. |
